The Masters in Education in School Librarianship Degree is designed for both students who currently hold a teacher's license (and either a bachelors or master's degree) and for students with other degrees and no teacher's license who are interested in changing career paths. Certificate
The School Librarianship Professional Certificate is offered to qualified candidates who have a master's degree from an accredited institution AND who hold a valid Tennessee Teaching License. Qualifying students may take 24 credit hours of approved classes to meet the current school licensure requirements for Tennessee endorsement School Library Specialist #473.
At the completion of the coursework, students must follow the current state testing requirement for Praxis Test #5311 "School Library Specialist" and apply for add-on status to their current teaching license by contacting Joanna Wicker through the Clemmer College.
