Johnson City Medical Center is a 445 bed regional tertiary referral center for the entire service area and one of the six Level 1 Trauma Centers in the state of Tennessee. JCMC is a major medical referral center and offers advanced surgical services, including orthopaedics, general surgery, a specialized heart center, cancer center, and advanced diagnostic imaging services.

Woodridge Hospital is an 84-bed inpatient provider of mental health and chemical dependency services for adults, adolescents and children ages 6 and older. Psychiatrists lead teams that include mental health therapists, discharge planners, expressive therapists and psychiatric nurses who help patients find the most appropriate level of treatment. The hospital, which provides both inpatient and outpatient adult psychiatric and chemical dependency care, is a primary teaching facility for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Serving the upper northeast tip of Tennessee as well as parts of North Carolina and Southwest Virginia , the center offers outpatient and primary care services provided by Johnson County Medical Group. Johnson County Community Hospital is a 2-bed critical access hospital that was opened by Mountain States Health Alliance in 1998 to serve the community after the closing of the Johnson County Hospital.

Hawkins County Hospital consists of a 50-bed facility with more than 50 board certified physicians. These physicians are specialist in their fields providing high -tech care in a hometown setting. Services provided include emergency care, physical and occupational therapies, surgery, intensive care, outpatient specialty clinics (including neurology, spine and rehabilitation and ear, nose and throat services) and diagnostic imaging (including CT, MRI and nuclear medicine).

LeConte Medical Center opened in February 2010, and offers a full array of medical specialties and outstanding medical technology. Their surgery department features 4 expanded Surgical Suites, and 2 Endoscopy suites. LeConte Medical Center offers outstanding diagnostic services including Laboratory Services, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Imaging Services such as MRI, Ultrasound, and CT Scan. The Dolly Parton Center for Women’s Services features the Breast Center where women can have their annual mammograms, biopsies if needed, as well as bone density exams. The Center also includes the county’s only hospital-based Sleep Disorders Center.
