The Human Patient Simulation Lab includes two simulation suites, multiple human patient simulators and several task-training platforms that support hands-on clinical education. The suites are equipped with hospital-ready medical equipment and supplies, allowing learners to practice real-time patient care scenarios.
Simulation Environment
Each simulation suite includes a dedicated control room with full audiovisual capabilities that allow instructors to manage scenarios and record sessions for review. Observation classrooms overlook the simulation labs, allowing faculty and learners to watch scenarios in real time.
The classrooms are equipped with smartboards, broadband internet and video conferencing technology to support teaching and distance learning.
Training and Learning
During simulation sessions, students manage patient cases using the same processes used in clinical environments. Learners may perform procedures such as securing an airway, operating ventilators or administering treatments while monitoring a patient’s changing condition.
Simulation training allows students to practice clinical decision-making, teamwork and communication in a controlled environment before working with real patients.
Technology and Facilities
The simulation lab includes advanced patient simulators and task-training platforms designed to replicate a wide range of clinical situations. These tools allow instructors to create realistic patient scenarios that support hands-on learning and skills development.
