The ETSU Global Engagement Living-Learning Community (Global Engagement LLC) is home to students seeking to expand their knowledge of world affairs, foreign languages, and cultures as well as to gain global learning skills and competencies that are increasingly necessary in today’s workplaces. The Global Engagement LLC provides an enhanced educational experience for (primarily) any first-year ETSU student with an interest in global affairs and intercultural exchange, regardless of major or career path. Global Engagement LLC students live together while attending classes, networking, and exploring the world’s interconnections and opportunities right here on the ETSU campus.
This community is housed in Carter Hall.
Global Engagement LLC students are passionate about understanding the world in all its diversity, from politics and religion to art, food, language, history, and science. By bringing their unique experiences, beliefs, and values to the Global Engagement LLC, students can enlighten the minds of those they engage with in an array of spaces and opportunities such culture nights, language micro-lessons, service and community engagement projects, faculty talks, field trips, and other co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities (including opportunities to take part in ETSU Global Year events).
