Open & Affordable Awards Program
Sherrod Library funds and supports faculty who adopt, amend, or develop open (free) educational resources for their students. Lowering the cost of college can make a significant impact on student learning and persistence.
The deadline to apply to the Open and Affordable Awards Program is on a rolling basis with deadlines in Mid-May and Mid-November.
The awards program provides instruction, guidance, and financial incentives to use, customize, and/or create Open Educational Resources (OER) and other Affordable materials in the classroom. Award amounts are distributed as individual stipends and range from a minimum of $500 up to $2000 (based on the selection criteria and funding available).
For more information, visit the library's OER webpage.
