The K-12 physical education teaching concentration prepares students for teacher licensure in physical education in the state of Tennessee. -

The Early Childhood Development Major, B.S. (Early Care and Education Concentration) at East Tennessee State University is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. -
Early Childhood Development with a concentration in PreK-3
This Integrated Early Childhood program prepares strong, compassionate educators for diverse public-school classrooms serving children from Pre-K through Third Grade. Coursework emphasizes every domain of development—social-emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive—helping you foster the dispositions and skills young learners need for lifelong success.
Additionally, the coursework includes a focus on diverse learners and how to teach all learners in a variety of classroom settings. This degree leads to the Integrated Early Childhood (PK-3rd Grade) licensure. -

The Interdisciplinary Studies Bachelor of Science Program meets the needs of students whose academic interests are situated between two or more disciplines and gives them the opportunity to integrate personal and professional growth. Through exploration of multiple subjects, perspectives, and methodologies in a variety of fields, this degree is suited for traditional undergraduate students as well as adult learners.

Interdisciplinary Studies - Integrative Studies Concentration
Integrative Studies Concentration students tailor their degrees to their specific interests, all within a structured liberal arts framework.
Coursework in this concentration is valued by new hires, as it demonstrates that students can think creatively and be adaptive to new situations. Students will become lifelong learners who not only function as productive and insightful members of their communities, but also become adaptable workers equipped for long-term career success.

Interdisciplinary Studies - Professional Studies Concentration
In the Professional Studies Concentration, students develop leadership and communication skills applicable to work in a variety of areas. This degree can be completed 100% online, but students could also complete the degree with a combination of online and on-ground courses. Students will work with their advisor to determine which courses are appropriate for them.
