Based upon the announcement from the Office of the President regarding the university closure on January 2, 2024, Human Resources will be conducting New Employee Onboarding on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, for all new full-time, regular hires with a start date of January 1 or 2, 2024. 

Also, due to the early holiday closure on Thursday, December 21, 2023, the Office of Human Resources is requiring that all new, regular full-time employee hiring proposals with a start date of January 1 or 2, 2024 are fully routed, approved, and signed by the prospective employee by December 19, 2023 at 3 pm.

 2024 New Employee Onboarding and Standardized Hire Date

All employees will start their first date of employment in a New Employee Onboarding session with HR in the Culp Center.  This New Employee Onboarding session will introduce the employee to the university, discuss retirement options, benefits, and required training; the employee will receive their e-number, parking pass, and ID card during orientation.  This will also allow HR to ensure all new employees have completed the requirements for their ETSU email address, which will be activated before or during the orientation.

Employee Spotlights are featured in the Office of Administration's monthly newsletter - Inside Look.  Here you can find previous 'Spotlights' as well as  Accolades, which highlights ETSU Faculty & Staff achievements and honors.

ETSU Service Awards




Each year ETSU holds a celebration to honor the service of our employees and recognize those current, regular employees who have achieved their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 milestone year of service. During this ceremony each employee receives a certificate and pin honoring their service to ETSU and the State of Tennessee.

Voyager Town Halls

Voyager Town Hall meetings are available through September and interested faculty or staff can view remaining sessions here. Additionally, a Town Hall presentation video is now available for those who have not attended a meeting. The video and slides from the presentation are available on the Voyager website. Questions about information from the Town Hall meetings can be emailed to voyager@etsu.edu or hr@etsu.edu. The Human Resources office can also be reached at 423-439-4457.


Dynamic Form for Educational Benefits

All requests for educational benefits  (Fee Waivers, Tuition Reimbursements, and Spouse/Dependent Discounts) must now be submitted via Dynamic Forms. Eligibility requirements for each program are detailed in the Education Benefits policy. Forms and instructions are available on the Human Resources Forms webpage.
