
The purpose of the Course Delivery and Definitions Work Group was to review internal policies related to various courses offered at the institution, to review policies from peer institutions, to examine the courses offered at the institution, and to draft a policy that defines the courses offered at the institution. This work is important because it clarifies current policies and provide guidance to faculty as they develop new courses and revise current courses.
This work group was responsible for:
- Reviewing current ETSU policies related to various course offerings,
- Reviewing policies from peer institutions related to course mode and delivery definitions, and
- Evaluating the needs of colleges across the institution.
Deliverables and Timeline:
The Course Delivery and Definitions Work Group delivered a policy that includes definitions
of course delivery methods and course types, along with relevant procedures (i.e.,
faculty/administrator guidance) for creating or revising courses or requesting a change
of course delivery method. The policy was published on 12/11/2025.
