There are 3 types of Temporary Faculty outlined in the university’s Faculty Appointments and Designations Policy: Adjunct, In-Residence, and Visiting. In each description, teaching is listed as one of the exclusive functions of each position.
Faculty Appointments and Designations Policy
At the CTE, we are strong promoters of sharing resources and research-backed best practices. We also want to foster rich, teaching-centered relationships among our part-time faculty. As a part-time (adjunct) faculty member, you represent a powerful, skilled, and scholarly resource for the ETSU community.
