Barbara Murphy Brooks Scholarship

The Barbara Murphy Brooks Scholarship is awarded to Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies students who have shown personal and professional engagement in Women's Issues.

  Apply for the Barbara Murphy Brooks Scholarship  

• Awarded to students who have a declared minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, including undergraduate students enrolled full-time or part-time
• Financial need will be a major consideration in awarding the scholarship
• Students are eligible until their final semester of study
• Students may receive this award more than once, but must re-apply each year to be considered
• Deadline to Apply: March 23rd, 2026

Karen L. Cajka Memorial Scholarship

The Karen L. Cajka Memorial Scholarship is awarded to meritorious juniors and seniors enrolled in Literature and Language and/or WGSS courses.

  Apply for the Karen L. Cajka Memorial Scholarship Endowment  

• Awarded for one year and distributed in two equal installments
• Deadline to Apply: March 23rd, 2026

Susan M. Rigney Scholarship

Apply for the Susan M. Rigney Scholarship Endowment

• Must be a declared minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
• Current ETSU student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Documented Financial need may be considered in the selection of the recipient
• Applicants must be full-time students
• Deadline to Apply: March 23rd, 2026
