Dr. Tod Emma Named Chair Digital Media
East Tennessee State University’s College of Business and Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Tod Emma as the newest Chair of the Department of Digital Media. With a wealth of experience in the digital media industry, Tod brings a unique blend of industry knowledge and teaching expertise to his new role.
Tod has had an impressive career in the field of digital media, having worked as a design studio operator, a Director of Marketing and Web Design at Steeda Auto Sports, and a full-time game design instructor at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He also served as a multi-media instructor at South East Missouri State University before joining the ETSU team. Tod has extensive experience with leading 3D game engines, 3D modeling software, and online interaction, making him an ideal fit for the department's focus areas.

Dr. Tony Pittarese, Dean of the College of Business and Technology, expressed his excitement for Tod's new role. He said, "The ETSU Digital Media Department has a tradition of strong leadership, collegial faculty, and students doing exceptional creative work. I have every confidence that under Professor Emma's leadership the department will continue to excel."
The Digital Media Program at ETSU provides students with technical skills, an understanding of aesthetics, and practical experience in digital media. With a focus on game design, animation, digital video, visual effects, visualization, interactive design, and other areas in digital media, the program brings together students, faculty, and industry professionals to prepare students for careers in this exciting and ever-evolving field.
