ETSU's MBA students dive headfirst into their capstone projects, turning business challenges into strategic innovation!
The College of Business and Technology’s MBA students demonstrated their knowledge in strategic management through their capstone projects this year. Over the past nine months, student-led teams have collaborated with various businesses and organizations offering practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Under the guidance of Dr. William Heise, professor of the MBA Capstone course, these projects have provided real-world experiences for students while delivering actionable insights to their client companies. Dr. Heise commended the students, stating, "The dedication and creativity displayed by our MBA students in tackling these complex business challenges have been truly impressive."
Among the projects, students worked with organizations such as Goodwill Industries of Tenneva (GITA), Alfatec Industries, MATE II, and Overmountain Recovery. The initiatives ranged from devising marketing campaigns for sustainability efforts to assessing strategic business opportunities and extending market reach.
One standout project involved collaborating with Goodwill Industries of Tenneva to create a comprehensive marketing campaign to promote its cardboard recycling efforts to the local community. Another project aimed to assess strategic business opportunities for Alfatec Industries as it expands its operations to the United States.
These capstone projects not only showcase the talent and abilities of ETSU's MBA students but also highlight the university's commitment to fostering practical service-learning experiences that benefit both students and the regional business community.
