East Tennessee State University’s College of Business and Technology has announced that Dr. Kelly Hall will assume the role of Interim Chair of the Department of Management and Supply Chain, effective January 2025.
Dr. Hall brings extensive academic and leadership experience to the position. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University and has served in faculty and administrative roles at Utah Valley University and Stetson University. Her expertise includes organizational leadership, curriculum innovation, and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
"Dr. Hall’s background in leadership development and employee engagement makes her an outstanding choice for this role,” said Dr. Tony Pittarese, Dean of the College of Business and Technology. “Her commitment to academic excellence and student success will be instrumental as we continue to advance our mission."
Dr. Hall’s appointment follows the leadership of Dr. Dana Harrison, who has served as Interim Chair of Management and Supply Chain for the fall 2024 semester while continuing as Chair of the Department of Marketing. Dr. Harrison will resume her full-time role as Chair of Marketing in the new year.
“I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Harrison for her dedication and service in leading both departments this semester,” Pittarese said. “Her contributions have been invaluable in ensuring continuity and excellence in our programs.”
A search for the permanent chair of the Department of Management and Supply Chain will commence during the next academic year.
