ETSU Office of Human Resources support the goal of the University to empower employees to make ETSU a great place to learn, work and grow. We offer a variety of services to employees, supervisors and departments to help foster a positive and productive work environment at ETSU.

|Performance Evaluations||Performance evaluations are performed annually and during an employee's initial 6-month
probationary period to assist personnel in professional development and in achieving
|Employee Assistance Program
||The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides no cost consultation and referral for
employees and their eligible family members. Examples of problems that may be addressed
include substance abuse, family, marital, emotional, legal, financial, elder care,
workplace, stress, etc.
|Employee Coaching||Supervisors may contact our employee relations and training staff for a confidential of employee coaching plans. Employees receive behavior and skills coaching.|
|Consultation Services||We provide confidential guidance and/or advice for employees and for supervisores concerning a work situation, a complaint, or grievance.|
|Mediation Services||Faculty and staff are encouraged to use our confidential mediation process to help communicate with their co-workers and supervisors when seeking a resolution to a conflict.|
||ETSU practices progressive discipline beginning with supervisory counseling to ensure prompt, consistent and fair treatment of all employees. Before taking any action, supervisors should read the progress discipline policy, and/or contact Human Resources for a consultation.|
