Master of Music in Music Education
The ETSU Master of Music in Music Education is designed for current and/or licensed music educators that are seeking to earn a graduate degree, gain professional development units, and to increase their knowledge of teaching methodologies, research strategies, and music content. The program is offered both in a traditional full-time format during the academic year, and as a part-time program over the summers. The latter option is specifically designed for working music educators to maintain their teaching positions but still allow them to work towards their graduate degree.
Note that this degree program is designed for music educators who already have teaching licensure. The program does NOT lead to licensure. Individuals with a Bachelor's degree interested in pursuing teacher licensure are encouraged to pursue the Master of Arts in Teaching offered by the Clemmer College of Education and Human Development.
