Harold Laswell famously defined politics as the process of determining who gets what, where, when and how.
With the depth of knowledge and experience of our faculty, the ETSU Department of Political Science, International Affairs, and Public Administration helps to answer these questions. Combined our faculty have expertise in nearly every important aspect of politics, and through our dynamic course offerings, our majors investigate the nature, causes and consequences of politics domestically and internationally.
There is something for every student in our department We offer an undergraduate major in Political Science as well as an undergraduate major in International Affairs. We also offer graduate Master’s in Public Administration. Additionally, our department houses four distinct minors: political science, international affairs, public administration, and the legal studies minor, which is an interdisciplinary minor popular among students with an interest in attending law school. Our department is also home to many exciting student organizations such as Model UN, the Pre-Law Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha.
