Spring 2024 Workshops for Students
Attention-Based Challenges and Student Life Workshop Series*
Restarting Thursdays 3pm - 4pm (Dates - 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18)
Led by Katlyn Couper, and held in CULP 210
The East Tennessee State University Counseling Center is excited to provide a workshop series this semester centered around understanding how attention-based challenges commonly present themselves in the major areas of student life, internally within oneself and externally within the areas of school/work and social/relationships. The workshop series will consist of 3 sessions where the presenting concerns of attention deficits within these common areas will be broken down and management tools and resources for students will be discussed.
*Available to all students. No needs assessment is required*
Radical Acceptance*
Thursdays 2pm - 3pm (Dates - 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/5, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25)
This workshop will be moving to a new day and time (Thursdays at 2-3pm)
Led by Hope O'Neill, and held in CULP 219
Please join us at this informative workshop where we'll be diving into techniques
to help you better manage your emotions and behaviors, boost your mood, strengthen
your relationships, and master effective problem-solving and communication skills!
Each week we will focus on a specific skill related to mindfulness, distress tolerance,
interpersonal effectiveness, or emotion regulation. We look forward to seeing you!

Roadmap to Relationships*
Restarting Tuesdays 3pm - 4pm (Dates - 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16)
Led by Rachel Ratley, and held in CULP 304 *This workshop will be meeting in the Conseling Center CULP 326 on 4/2*
The Roadmap to Relationships workshop is a four-part series that will provide education,
resources, and tips for navigating relationships. Topics to be covered include stress/stress
management, attachment theory, boundaries and nonviolent communication, and building
healthy relationships. This workshop aims to broaden students’ understanding of what
factors influence their relationships, how they show up in relationships, and how
to foster meaningful connections.
