Based in Kingsport, TN, H. A. Hoffman is a freelance musician, teacher, adjudicator, and music arranger. Currently, he serves on the instructional staff for the ETSU Marching Bucs and is an active educator in Drum Corps International. His involvement with DCI began while marching in the Phantom Regiment in 2014 - 2015 and has since served on staff at the Spirit of Atlanta, Louisiana Stars, and Music City.

Mr. Hoffman works full time as a private lesson teacher for brass students ranging from beginners to advanced high school and collegiate players. His students have gone on to perform at the top of their ensembles and have participated in groups such as the Tennessee All-East and All-State honor bands; several world-class drum and bugle corps including Spirit of Atlanta, Carolina Crown, Music City, Boston Crusaders, and Phantom Regiment; and the Parris Island Marine Band.
